About me

Sunday, May 14, 2017

My name is Anorta and I am here today to welcome you to district 67's 2017 graduating family. Not just other students, not just peers, but family. Family in my words is a group of people that support each other, love each other, and will be there for each other. These people right here are my family they have supported me through drama, stress, and achievements. We've all had such a strong connection that it feels like we've been together for forever.

No matter if you joined district 67 in kindergarten or in the 8th grade you've had good conversations with most of the grade. That's one of the good things about this school. Yes it's a small school but you are close with everyone and next year we won't have the same privileged and I'm very grateful to have it now because it has taught me a lot.

I am going to miss everyone at this school because each and one of you have been apart of my life good or bad you were there. But you might not be there next year because of moving schools or because of how much more people we are going to meet next year but you guys will always be in my thoughts. Good luck and have fun.

You need to change that!

Dear 5th grade me,

You have gone through  successfully. Well at least you think you did... You have good grades, you had good friends, and you had fun. But your sense of style and clothes you wore were unacceptable! What were you thinking? You really think baggy clothes and a low pony tail were cute?

You need to change that.

Next time wear a high pony tail or at least try straightening your hair and leave it down. And for the clothes, wear something a little less baggy and more classy and wear leggings for pants, they go with everything.

From your loving self,
Anorta

Tribute to the loml

When I hear the word love I think of one thing. My true love towards food. Oh food how I love you. I would like to thank you for being there for me. When I'm starving, when I just want to eat, and when I have craving. Even though sometimes I wish you weren't there because I'm trying to eat less, I still appreciate you.
Once again, thank you food.

My 5 Main Goals To Do With My FriendsBefore Summer Ends

1. Go to the beach
Last year I never went to the pool or beach with my friends. Not even go in general. So now I wanna change that and hang out there and take some really good pictures.

2.   Explore the neighborhood at night
I've gone around my neighborhood during the day with Gina. But I've never done it at night.

3. Go to parties
I mean why not right?

4. Meet a lot of new people
Last summer I did meet a lot of people but I want to meet more.

5. Make amazing memories
I want summer 17 to be one if the most amazing summers. I want do things that I would never imagine me doing and not regret a thing. I want it to be memorable.

Ugh it's Complicated

This goes out to all the teachers and parents that don't understand us teenagers. It's complicated and hard to be a teen in this generation ok! We are very unbelievably busy.

Let me tell you all my responsibilities as an example. Here are some of the things I have to take care of everyday in less than 24 hours: feeding my pets, going to practice, studying for tests, facetiming Gina, snapchatting people, checking my instagram accounts, eating, showering, going out with my friends, etc.

Do you notice how I don't mention doing homework? It's because I have no time! I'm very busy and so are a lot of other teenagers.
(Btw I'm just kidding I don't even feed my pets or study for tests I just eat all day and watch Netflix. That's my version of being busy)

Free Blog!

Since it's a free blog I want to talk about how excited I am to get out of GMS. Graduation is almost here! Under 30 days! I remember watching last year's 8th graders go through the abc count down and now were just ripping through it feeling like it's going by so quickly. But another part of me is sad to leave Golf because of all the memories iv'e had with all my friends. Especially the times we got in trouble. (Totally worth it. I don't regret anything) Golf was like a second home and I'll never forget it.

Anorta For President!!

If I were to be president I would have 3 major goals...

1. Detentions and suspensions must come to a stop!
From my own experience I have noticed detentions and suspensions are useless punishments. I believe if a student does something wrong they should still be in class but separated from others. I believe that because they're being punished and learning at the same time and not just wasting their time staring at a wall.

2. More effort, more money
Get paid as much as $1,000 just for being alive and being a straight A student. As long as you in high school or college you are qualified! Being in high school or college is tough especially when you have a social life, a job, and straight A's. Most kids get straight A's in elementary and middle school but once they reach high school things start to get tough. But that can change if they have something to strive for. Giving money will boost the kids and give them a reason to do good.

3. Is music and art more important than grades?
Many middle school students are forced to take music and art. I believe that students should have a choice if they want that class or a study hall. Why waist you're time doing something you don't want to do when you can be finishing tonight's homework or studying for next week's test. This privilege should only be for students with grades over c's but if you have grades c and under you must be having a study hall instead. Grades are more important that music and art. If a student that has bad grades want to go to those classes they must work for it.

My 3 Year Journey with Ed 💙

It was March 1, 2014 when I first saw him. I can remember it like it was yesterday. He walked onto the stage and performed in a black shirt with a plaid over. He had sung 3 of his songs and ended his performance with Macklemore.

Since that day I have followed him and listen to his music until my sister said I was going to his concert! I cried. I was so shocked I couldn't believe it. It was finally September 16, I was wearing a black shirt with a red plaid over and ready to see him perform live.

Since the concert I fell in love even more. Listening to his albums and memorizing each word until a special day came.

On January 1st I got a notification from instagram saying Ed Sheeran had just posted. As usual I get a blast of excitement to see another random post from him. But this wasn't just a random post. ED SHEERAN WAS RELEASING 2 NEW SONGS FRIDAY, JANUARY 6! #R.I.P.Anorta

It was Friday night and I had already memorized every word to his new songs.

Another post was posted saying A WHOLE ALBUM was being released on March 3.

Real Steal!

The first time I watched Real Steal in theaters I left saying, "So when is the next show time for this movie today?" I absolutely loved the movie mostly because it showed that just because you get something or idea from a dumpster, doesn't mean it won't be as great as something from the best brand. Atom, one of the main characters in the movie, started out being dug out from a recycling dumpster to one of the best robot wrestling matches. The little bot showed how to get big starting from somewhere small and it helped a father and son go from no hope to a whole life full of hope.

Happy 3 years with Ed Sheeran💙

It's been 3 years since I first saw and fall in love with Ed Sheeran perform on March 1, 2014 on TV!
💙Happy 3 years Ed💙

One Of The Greatest Gifts I've Gotten🎁

The greatest gift I've ever gotten isn't some phone or something really expensive, where the technology or price was the best part. It was something I've always wanted to come back and never leave again. Something that I prayed for every night, cried all night, and called every night.
It was seeing my Dad come home from the army permanently. My Dad always came back from the army for a break for a couple weeks and every time he comes I get so happy but, it was also so hard to see him leave again. But, so much sadness and stress had lifted off my shoulder knowing that my Dad was here for good and was safe at home. This wasn't just a gift for me and effected me only. It was for the whole family, which made the gift more special and meaningful. It really hit me when I looked at my sisters balling their eyes out in joy. They have been wanting this gift way longer for me. They understood he was in the army way before me because of how little I was. All that mattered now was that the whole family was finally complete.
Kinda how I reacted when I saw my Dad🙃🙃
